La Galiña de Mos es una raza de gallinas originaria de Galicia que a comienzos del pasado siglo tuvo un importante auge y prestigio, siendo sometida a un proceso de selección y uniformidad en la antigua Estación Pecuaria Regional de Galicia, en Lugo, creada a raíz del Decreto de la Presidencia del Gobierno de la República de España de 7 de diciembre de 1931. En el presente trabajo analizamos los datos que se obtenían desde las primeras décadas del siglo XX hasta la actualidad, de la puesta anual y de la evolución del peso vivo. Se han observado puestas anuales en el primer año que evolucionaron desde los 128 huevos en el año 1939 hasta los 181 de la actualidad y el crecimiento de los pollos en continuo aumento gracias a las mejoras de la alimentación.

The Galiña de Mos is an original breed of Galicia that at the beginning of last century had an important summit and prestige, being submitted to a process of selection and uniformity on the former Cattle Regional Station of Galicia, in Lugo, created immediately after the Decree of the Presidency of the Government of the Republic of Spain of December 7, 1931. In the present work we analyze the data obtained from the first decades of the 20th century up today on laying and evolution of the growth. Laying evolved from 128 eggs in the year 1939 up to 181 today; the growthof the chickens was increasing thanks to the improvements of the nourishment.
