Características de la publicación
The Bulletin of Portuguese - Japanese Studies, which was launched in December 2000 and is published twice a year in June and December, aims to be an academic publication of Portuguese-Japanese studies published in English with an international character. The founding of the Bulletin is a reflection of the development of Japanese studies in Portugal as well as studies relating to the Portuguese presence in other areas of East and Southeast Asia. Historians in this area have understood the need to work together, incorporating a perspective of comparative history, to better understand the specific characteristics of each region. We hope that the Bulletin will constitute a space for highlighting the research being carried out in Portugal, as well as a forum where researchers from all over the world can present their work. It also aims to circulate information about recent publications relating to this sector by means of critical book reviews. |
